80 Students are enrolled to participate in our Bi-Annual Choir trip to San Antonio, Texas. This experience provides students with an opportunity to explore various cultures and performance venues. Past trips have included The Bahamas (twice), New Orleans, Nashville, Chicago (Legacy performed at a National Competition and placed 3rd Overall), San Antonio, Texas.

The Ross Choral Program participates in numerous collaborative performance opportunities with the choir programs at Wyoming, Hamilton, and Edgewood High School.

Students pay 100% of their Legacy fees through fundraising & personal payments. The RLSD contributes $0 towards funding the extra-curricular show choir program with the exception of 4 staff supplementals and busing costs.

The Ross Choral Program has established and maintained a reputation of being one of the best choral programs in the state of Ohio. Students are frequently challenged to learn and perform at a high level, be goodwill ambassadors of the Ross Local School District, and strive for “quality” and musical achievement. Students in the RLS Choir Program are involved in National Honor Society, Athletics, Academic Team, Newspaper, leaders in the JEE Foods Program, and many more. There is a wide variety of students, and choir is the thing that brings everyone together with a common interest, working hard to create music that everyone can be proud of.

Legacy hosts a Show Choir Competition that brought in 20 different schools from Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, and Ohio. The event also brought 3000 people into our community, and showcased Ross High School and our excellent facilities.

The Ross Choral Program also has a very active booster organization, with a roster of 75+ contributing parents, community members, and businesses. The booster program funds a majority of the Ross Choral Program expenses through fundraising, grants, and corporate donations.
